Who – All 6th-12th grade students
When – Wednesdays, 5:30-8:00p   ( Service 6:40-7:45p)

On Wednesday nights, we provide students with an exciting environment to connect, worship the Lord and grow in their faith through Biblical teaching. Wednesday nights are an excellent opportunity for our students to introduce their friends to McGregor and the gospel. Our Backlot Café is open every week for students to buy food and drinks. The Grace gym is open to students before and after service.

Your student can bring a friend to anything we do, but to make it even easier for them to bring their friends, we provide regular Ignite Invite Nights. We do something special to have fun together and lower the bar for unchurched students that might be nervous about attending. On these nights, we always share the gospel and provide students with a chance to respond. To see upcoming events click here.

To help our new 6th grade students transition smoothly into the student ministry; we created an On Ramp for them on Wednesday nights. Before our Ignite Service begins at 6:40, we take the 6th graders into Stage 2 for some group game time lead by adult leaders and older students from 6:15-6:35p. The group then walks over to Stage 1 to sit together during service. The On Ramp program runs from August to December.

There are a number of very important mature topics that we need to teach on as a Student Ministry. However, we also understand that every student matures at their own pace and it’s the parent's prerogative to decide when they receive teaching on these topics. Therefore, when we decide to cover mature topics, we do it via a Divide and Conquer series, where we send the middle school students to a different room for separate teaching unless their parent wants them to join in with the high school and provides written permission.
